My media production challenges the theory of wolf that women are portrayed in such a way to attract men, and to therefore be objectified to satisfy the males gazing eye. I have gone against this by having my main image of two people who look as though they are play fighting. This goes against it because i have not sexualised the female model in the image.
This also goes against his theory in another manner due to the fact i also attract a female audience, the magazine is not just aimed at the male population, this is shown through the language and the slight feminine touch throughout the magazine itself, where as the magazines such as MAXIM make it quite apparent although they may appeal to women, they are definitely attempting to engage the mens attention by having the images highly sexualised and very provocative.
